Tania’s Treatment V4.0 Day 1

Well we made it here safely to Sydney yet again. We’ll be staying at Waverton this time as Tania’s Doctors want her as close to the hospital as possible during the long convalescent stage of her treatment.

We have a while to go yet to get to that stage, but we’re hopeful. Tania has been feeling quite ill the last couple of weeks, and the results of today’s tests seem to indicate she’s a bit low on blood. This will be the second thing done tomorrow after admission. The first will be to put in another central line.

Unfortunately I wont be able to stay in Sydney for the whole three months, I have to return to work on the 23rd of January. I can’t complain too much, I’ve had the past three months off and I’ve been off work for nearly five months in total since June. My employers have been brilliant.

It’s been a long hard road for Tania, but we’re all hoping that by the end of this treatment things may return to normal.

We wouldn’t have got this far without the support of family and friends. Of course it goes without saying that Tania’s medical staff have been wonderful. I would also like to thank the Leukaemia Foundation for their help and support, without them Tania would have to have gone through this ordeal alone.
